BACK IN MONTREAL HALIFAX, May 15, 2010. HALIFAX, May 15, 2010.
Our activities over the past two weeks are shared between the small work maintains, visiting our daughter Keisha, walks, bicycle tours, visits to the mall and grocery store and other similar activities bit stressful on the lives of retirees.
The most pressing in coming here was to make an appointment with our doctor to renew our prescriptions medicine. Appeal on Wednesday and by appointment on Monday. The doctor suggests to take the opportunity to take blood samples. He seems worried about the enzyme levels in my system because I take pills for cholesterol. I did not even cholesterol initially, only a trend, and I do not always do but the drug may promote an excess of enzymes and he told me, if so, it will rebalance here. That's how the old wake up at age 75 with 12 pills to take daily.
I decided to level the parking of motor before moving on our land. There was such a difference between the front and back that they no longer touched the ground when the motor was level in addition to having their feet fully extended, which is not recommended by the manufacturer. I had to add two cubic meters of gravel, extending to the rake and all with border stones that I picked in the woods with a wheelbarrow. The most intensive physical effort that I produced for several months and gave me two days later to identify the muscles that I did not even have. It's time I returned to the gym. The objectives were achieved, the motor is easier to level and it does not seem so bad.
We keep Keisha and she is sleeping every two or three days, what keeps grandma pretty busy. Keisha is the second reason why we have terminated our navigation projects throughout the world. Examinations at birth, have confirmed that she had a hearing problem and profound as if it was not enough, other tests performed at the age of two years have revealed that she was autistic.
In six years she still does not speak. Children with autism generally do not speak before the age of 5 years but in his case, the fact that she is deaf does not facilitate the learning process. However, she communicates very well using signs and pictures. The speakers are experienced with deaf and autistic children is but the combination of the two remains a challenge for even the most experienced. Unlike most autistic children, it is possible to get his attention. She looks at us in the eye and is emotional, which gives us great hope for the future.
Recreational vehicles have either a table with four chairs or a bench-style restaurant in the kitchen. Cruisemaster had our table with four chairs and our new motor is equipped with a bench that marketing gurus call dinette because it sounds better to the ear of the buyer. Having now used both, we find that the dinette arrangement offers many advantages compared to the option table and chairs separately. First, four chairs take up much space and like most recreational vehicles that we visited. We have stored two and replaced by two small folding chairs took the place of other things under the bed of the bedroom. Instead, the dinette benches become huge storage space where we keep lots of caning, boxes and bags of dry food, and there is space. No need to tie the chairs before you leave and stop for lunch when we travel. In addition, not the least, everything is transformed into a wonderful little bed perfect for our little girl when we slept with, and the sofa bed is still available. Finally, we find the seats of our motorized much more comfortable than chairs. A WinWin situation as the English say.
We try to walk every day. Our travels 4 miles round trip takes us to Hacketts Cove, a small bay of outstanding beauty that is home to fishing boats that rest of the night spent working offshore sailboats and waiting patiently for their owners come to rest of their week spent working in the city. This includes several good runs coast allows our heart rate increase sufficiently long enough to guarantee us a good cardio workout. Another WinWin ...
We leave Monday morning for Montreal. We must decide whether we will go through the Matapédia valley in Gaspe or if we pass in Bangor Maine and along the border for the U.S.. Even in retirement there are difficult decisions.
