BACK IN MONTREAL
Finally, our friend Jean-Claude Désilet we confirmed that he would be home early in the week and we decided to stop at Trois-Rivieres to visit him. I had a lot of preparatory work yesterday, and at 9 o'clock Monday morning we were ready to go. We finally decided return by the Matapédia Valley (dark blue line, green line is the usual route) and along the St. Lawrence from Mont-Joli.

According to our GPS, the distance is the same as when we go through Fredericton and Edmundston, barely 20 km from more. The pavement is less beautiful but since we travel in a valley along the river named it is much less steep coasts to mount and it's easier. In principle it should have cost us cheaper gasoline, but windy as it has very strong all day and we had right on the nose I did not notice any difference ultimately. Next time we'll probably by the U.S. to see new landscapes.
We went from Nova Scotia to New Brunswick around 11:30 am. The fuel level indicator said it was time to refuel and Marielle said it was time to stop eating. As we approached Aulac, NB and I knew the position to stop the truck we decided to go there. These stops for trucks are great because there is plenty of room to maneuver and park. In addition, I paid 0.99 ȼ per liter of gasoline. The reservoir was able to swallow 245.25 liters which cost $ 245.00. It may seem like a lot but I remind you that we do not have to pay hotel bills and restaurant and if we subtract the cost of gasoline that we put in the car anyway, it does not cost more than traveling by car.
Once properly installed at Walmart Rimouski, Marielle decided to go buy a small roast chicken and salad at the Super C nearby. It's a good formula for her. No need to prepare for dinner, no dishes to do and her little greedy husband likes those little chicken topped with a glass of wine. A few hours later there were two or three other RV near us and when the mall's stores were closed it was complete silence. We were in bed early.
At 8 o'clock the next morning we were off. Traveled to Quebec we crossed the bridge to travel through the North Shore because the path is shorter to get to Trois-Rivieres. We were with our friend Jean-Claude at noon to enjoy a good glass of wine and a good lunch while discussing the latest news. Jean-Claude, who is also retired from Toyota Canada, is the one who gave me my chance and hired me in 1975. He was my boss for several years and we have long worked together.
At 2: 30 pm, it was time to leave if we wanted to be home for dinner. Knowing that we would be in Montreal at rush hour and did not intend to delve into this tampering, we crossed Laviolette Bridge and we were back on the south shore. The section of St-Constant was clogged as usual and the work of extension of the A30 in Chateauguay we have delayed by at least half an hour. When Highway 30 is completed we will save at least an hour's drive on the new route. We look forward to. Finally we arrived home at 17:30 pm and I got my two and my fried hotdog. What a delight after 3 weeks of dieting.
Thursday morning the new owner of Lady M picked me for me to help prepare the boat for launching and conveying of Iroquois in the 1000 Islands Beauharnois up on shore south of Montreal. Read the blog soon.
