HALIFAX, October 1, 2010

here we go, we are once again Quebeckers. Although we always address Nova Scotia, we have taken steps to address our Montreal becomes our main address. We made the request to qualify for health insurance in Quebec and we asked the manager of our pension fund to collect our taxes from the tax tables in Quebec. Another drop in income. My license is already in Quebec but Marielle will change his this month.

Our facility in our new apartment is now completed and we are very satisfied. We can say after a month he is very responsive to our needs. We frequently see deer in fields that surround us and, last week, we were surprised to see two that have been quite fantastic to come to graze in our backyard.

Stop at the bridge of St. Louis de Gonzague
We also rediscover the region. We love biking and we are fortunate because we remain very close to a wonderful network of bicycle trails. The cycling of Beauharnois-Salaberry are part of a much larger circuit known under the name of "Network path Suroît. This network has 117 km of paved trails on flat ground in a nautical environment and countryside around the Beauharnois Canal and the St. Lawrence.

The big red X mark, or we remain

We are also just minutes from the waterfront and we can get there faster walking.

FRANKLIN

Marielle seems to appreciate our new bike a lot more than the previous one and we have already made several trips. In less than half an hour we find ourselves in the St-Antoine-Abée and Franklin. We find in this region known for its many fruit groves, several kiosks where we can stop to enjoy a coffee and buy products offered. We then assemble the Covey Hill where, being at an altitude of about 1000 feet, we have a superb view of the area. Weather permitting, we can even see the skyscrapers of Montreal. We then drive along the American lines up Hemmingford then return home via the picturesque villages of St-Clotilde and Saint-Urbain-Premier. It would be hard to find a road course better suited to ride a motorcycle.

return trip by U.S.
We arrived Halifax on Thursday evening. We made the trip in one day. We will be here for a week and it goes without saying that we take the opportunity to see our little girl Keisha as often as possible. We will resume the road with motorized this time next Friday and will meet friends in Drummondville next Saturday and Sunday to formally close the camping season this year. We intend to return by the United States through Maine to Bangor and then we will follow Route 2 to Vermont before crossing into Canada at the height of Sherbrooke to Drummondville then we go through Richmond. The scenery throughout our trip should be beautifully colored this time of year. We take pictures to show you in the next page of the blog.

PHONE MagicJack.

There is now a month since we use MagicJack, this phone system that allows us to connect our phone to our home computer and connect anywhere in North America for $ 29.00 per year ( see previous page of the blog), and it works very well. We are currently in Halifax and we note any difference. Since we arrived here we called Vermont, Montreal and here in the region without any problem. Not even need to mention the 1 before the desired number. The amount of data used for a communication appears to be about 1 Mb / min.

Another great advantage is that if you call us at home, our phone will ring wherever we are (like our cell). I made a change to my cell phone package to reduce the cost and I think I will save about $ 90.00 per month long term. A Another win / win situation as the English say ...
